Follow the instructions below to make this beautiful scrapbook page
using Liquid Appliqué.
Pretty in Pigtails
My niece, Sally Rose, is center stage in this simplified scrapbook page. Red and white bumpy hearts, made from sponge stamping Liquid Appliqué, play all around her. Torn edges and simple sticker and button accents poke fun at formal "portrait style" scrapbooking.
Supplies
Liquid Appliqué - Marvy Uchida
red and white
Ribbon Stickers - Personal Stamp Exchange
Red, Navy Blue, and White Cardstock
Miscellaneous
buttons, kitchen sponge
Detail of heart
Instructions
1. Cut kitchen sponge into heart shape (use a heart stencil if desired). Dampen with water to make heart flexible.
2. Squeeze a small amount of both colors of Liquid Appliqué onto sponge, blending slightly if desired. Stamp white cardstock in random fashion. Refresh sponge after each stamping. Puff with heat or allow to dry overnight.
3. Double mat photo. Position in center and tear away three hearts from under photo. Tear four red hearts from red cardstock and journal.
4. Adhere all elements to page as shown.
