This moment in time was just the beginning of more
than 50 golden years of marriage for my grandparents,
so to paint everything in gold tones seems a small
way to pay tribute to their great example.

Tear vellum along embossed swirl as shown. Set aside larger piece and tear upper right corner of smaller vellum for accent over upper left corner of photo. Cut 3-1/4" square from smaller piece and tear remaining section to fit inside book as shown.

Paint highlights on swirls with Sunset Gold Lumiere paint as shown. Paint over all swirls with Brass Lumiere paint (the translucent quality of the Brass will tone down the intensity of the Sunset Gold). Dry brush Brass on open spaces of vellum and photo corners. Trim 1/4" from top and side of brown paper and adhere large vellum. Remove excess vellum top and bottom, place matted photo, mark overlapping swirls and silhouette cut swirls. Tuck photo underneath cuts, adhere torn vellum over upper left corner and secure all to page.

Cut two 12-1/2" lengths of ribbon and crisscross them on page as shown. Mark swirl overlaps, remove ribbon, and silhouette cut vellum. Thread ribbon under cuts and secure on back and at crossroads. Affix stickers on scrap cardstock, trim and mount on vellum with foam tape. Add title with white paint pen. Layer page to tan paper mounted on white cardstock (for rigidity).

MINI BOOK - Cut tan paper into two rectangles measuring 6-1/2" W. x 3-1/4" H. each and fold in half. Adhere vellum square to front of book and affix photo corners as shown. Layer one 4" strip of ribbon down center of vellum and tape on back. Tape the second tan rectangle to back of paper (to hide ribbon ends). Adhere right side of remaining torn vellum piece to inside right of book and fold book closed to mark inside fold. Add gold journaling and small photo. Adhere remaining 19" of ribbon center to center of back of book and secure to page over ribbon crossroads. Tie book closed with ribbon to finish.
